About Sam Horine

Sam Horine is a photographer and educator based in New York City. He’s a regular explorer of forgotten, abandoned and under-appreciated places as well as a contributor to NY Magazine, Time Out New York, The Village Voice and Gothamist. He also serves as an adjunct instructor at NYU, where he teaches 3-5 classes on digital photography per year.

Sam’s work has been published by The New York Times, Frieze, Art Forum, Death & Taxes, Spin, Rolling Stone, AM New York, Il Magazine, Art in America, Impose, The L Magazine and many others. He has exhibited in a number of group exhibitions, most recently raising over $20k for the Hurricane Sandy relief at the Foley Gallery on the Lower East Side.

His Instagram account was recently voted best in NYC by the Village Voice.
